Does my Chipolo work with Google’s Find My Device app?

That depends on which Chipolo you have!

Not all Chipolos are compatible with every finder app. You can connect your Chipolo to one of 3 different apps, depending on what model of the Chipolo finder you have.

If you bought your Chipolo before May 2023 and are wondering if it will work with Google’s Find My Device app, the answer is no.

Again the answer is no, different Chipolo finders cannot be updated to use two different apps. Each Chipolo can only work with the app it was initially connected to.

Regular Chipolo ONE & Chipolo CARD finders

How can you be sure? If you use the Chipolo app to ring your misplaced keys or wallet, then the Chipolo finder you have is a regular one that works both with Android phones and iPhones - but only on the Chipolo app!

These Chipolo ONE & Chipolo CARD finders work exclusively with the Chipolo app and can be used both with Android phones & iPhones, but cannot be used with the Apple Find My app or Google’s Find My Device app.

Chipolo ONE Spot & Chipolo CARD Spot finders are only compatible with the Apple Find My app and can only be used with iOS devices like iPhones and iPads.
