Chipolo LOOP & CARD now last up to 1 year per charge

It’s official! We’re increasing the battery life rating for our rechargeable trackers, Chipolo LOOP and Chipolo CARD, from 6 months to 1 year.

From simulations to real-world testing

Previously, the battery for both trackers was estimated based on controlled tests. Our hardware team ran energy consumption simulations to see how the trackers would perform under pressure. While these tests are a vital starting point for development, they are designed to be conservative and don’t always reflect how a tracker will perform in day-to-day life.

So what changed?

Long story short, we’ve had enough time to use and test both LOOP and CARD in real life. For over a year, our team has been using the two trackers on our personal keys, in our wallets, and relying on them in our daily routines.

We can now confidently say that the battery lasts up to 1 year on a single full charge, and in some cases even more. We’re proud to share this update, reflecting the true, long-lasting performance you can depend on, too.

Charging tip: You can check the battery level of your LOOP/CARD in your Find My app on iPhone or in your Find Hub app on Android phones. For the most optimal battery life and battery health, only charge your tracker when needed, and don’t let it hit absolute zero.
