We’re proud to announce the launch of the Perfectly Imperfect Chipolo CARD Spot wallet finder, a special edition made from plastic with superficial flaws that would otherwise be discarded.

It's a wallet finder with a reminder that we are all perfectly imperfect.

This limited edition of CARD Spot may be a little imperfect on the outside, but it’s still perfect at finding your wallet.

What makes a CARD Spot perfectly imperfect?

Up until now, we made sure that the outside of each Chipolo CARD Spot was as close to perfect as possible. But perfection is hard to achieve, so a lot of the CARD Spot covers didn’t make the cut.

Why?

The plastic covers of the CARD Spot wallet finders are made with a machine in a process called plastic injection molding. In this process, molten plastic is injected into a mold where it cools off and solidifies into the cover shape.

Injection molding of plastic as thin as this (each CARD Spot cover is only 0.45mm thick!) is an especially delicate process and the slightest change in, for example, the temperature of the molten plastic or the pressure with which the machine injects it into the mold can affect its appearance.

By repurposing this "imperfect" plastic, we’re not only creating functional wallet trackers but also taking another step in our dedication to reducing waste and embracing the beauty found in superficial flaws.
