Marketing Assistant

Chipolo is a scale-up company that launched an innovative item finder on Kickstarter in 2013 and has since grown into a successful internationally renowned company with 50 employees and more than 2 million products sold worldwide. Chipolo is based in Trbovlje and has an office in Ljubljana.

The Chipolo brand is recognised as one of the leading brands in the item finders market and has received numerous awards, such as the CES 2019 Innovation award and Paris DNA award for rebranding. We are collaborating with some of the largest companies, such as Google, Apple, Samsung, Huawei. We sell our products in 195 countries around the world, through established retail chains (e.g. Best Buy), Amazon and our own online store. In the last two years we launched one of the first third party products in the world that work with the Apple Find My network.

Due to our expansion, we are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our marketing team to help us grow even more.

We are looking for a creative, ambitious marketing enthusiast who already has some knowledge but wants more hands-on experience and personal development.

Marketing assistant's main task will be to support the marketing team, which is an excellent opportunity to get to know and gain experience in all areas of marketing activities, which will open up the possibility for advancement later on.

Your job will include:

  • Internal marketing – helps in organizing internal events, informing employees, taking care of the effective transfer of information about the company's culture and values ​​to new employees, and organizing various activities for employees.

  • "Retail" marketing: Entering and adjusting product descriptions and uploading images to the systems/files of retail stores.

  • Public relations: Taking care of sending products to journalists on time and reviewing the records of products sent, daily review of press clippings.

  • Content marketing: Help with translation management, daily review of customer reviews, preparation of reports and communication with user support.

  • User research: Help with the organization, execution and analysis of user surveys and interviews.

  • General support: Preparation of various reports as instructed by the team, help in organizing marketing events and fairs.

  • Additional options: Depending on your wishes and skills, you also have open options for: writing blog posts, creating content for social media, preparing advertising materials, etc.

Who are we looking for?

A higher education in social sciences is desired, work experience in the field of marketing is an advantage, but not a requirement. Above all, we expect a high level of motivation and a desire to learn from you.

We believe that the will, the attitude and the readiness for new knowledge is what matters most.

What we expect:

  • Excellent communication (spoken and written) skills in Slovenian and English. Knowledge of other languages ​​is an added advantage.

  • Mastery of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Basic knowledge of online marketing.

  • Interest in technology.

  • Analytical orientation.

  • Responsibility and Accuracy.

  • Self initiative and Self-criticism.

Also desired:

  • Basic knowledge of Google Analytics.

  • Experience with tools for conducting and analyzing surveys - e.g. Survey Monkey.

  • Knowledge of an additional foreign language (French, Spanish, German, Italian).

  • Sense for writing

  • Knowledge of how to operate on social media.

  • Sense of aesthetics.

  • Knowledge of the basics of branding.
