Hardware Engineer/Firmware developer

We’re looking for an innovative, collaborative and resourceful Hardware Engineer and firmware developer excited to help create and advance the hardware of the world’s mass-market consumer product, Chipolo.

You will have an impact on a global scale, making decisions that will allow hundreds of thousands of customer’s peace of mind knowing their valuables can be reliably tracked and found if misplaced. By this point, Chipolo has created the world’s largest lost and found community based on tiny Bluetooth device, but the technology has a potential impact that is far greater.


Requirements:

  • Solid user of Altium Designer EDA tool
  • Skilled firmware developer in C/C++ in Keil uVision IDE for ARM Cortex-M0/M3/M4 processor based microcontrollers
  • System design with wireless interfaces (Bluetooth/BLE) in addition to other peripherals such as I2C, SPI, UART
  • Can independently work with lab tools: oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, soldering iron, etc.
  • Understands design for low power consumer electronics
  • Great troubleshooting and debugging skills

iOS Developer

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain the Chipolo app on iOS
  • Unit-test code for robustness, maintain Continuous Integration and Delivery systems
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and leverage new technologies
  • Dictate the Apps user experience to be as intuitive as possible
  • Work closely with mobile and backend teams to provide a consistent Chipolo user experience across platforms
  • Collaborate with the Technical Support team to address customer issues

 

Requirements:

  • Feel the urge to solve difficult problems
  • 2+ years of iOS development experience
  • Experience working with BLE is preferred, desire to learn is required
  • Strong coding abilities and experience with Objective-C and iOS SDK
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Basic scrumming and planning knowledge is a must
  • Basic knowledge of another scripting language is desirable. Advanced knowledge is admirable

Technical Support Advisor

UI/UX Developer (Android)

Responsibilities:

  • Deeply involved in the app development process from start to finish and have a creative impact and voice in the design of our apps
  • Work with Design team to design and implement UI features that drive the visual identity of our apps
  • UI/UX developer will create in-app artwork and placeholder artwork as needed by developers and engineering
  • UI/UX Developer must understand mobile apps and how to make the UI flow
  • Strong sense of graphic design, and understand how to graphically reduce the detail while keeping the feel of the design
  • Work with marketing team to create UI tests to support and refine our apps
  • The UI/UX Developer should also have experience and skills with prototyping

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years UI experience with web and mobile apps or games experience
  • Great graphic design skills: sketching/wireframing/storyboarding abilities
  • Communicate visually, and to identify and define visual design issues and solutions
  • Good knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant art tools
